Born to be Wild…

“The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”
(Clarissa Pinkola Estés)

Do you have a deep yearning for something more in your life? I often think about what it means to have desires and dreams of such magnitude you wonder how you will ever do it. To achieve the impossible may seem impossible at first. It may seem so far away from where you are that you dismiss it many times over. However, if it keeps coming back to you, then it’s time to stand up and take note.

Our soul calls us in different ways and desires and dreams are but invitations to places inside of ourselves we never knew existed. Other situations may be less desirable to you and that is the time to stand up and listen even more. It could be something old that keeps re-appearing or similar patterns that keep emerging through people and events. Whatever you may feel around these situations, always honour how you feel about them. Let it all emerge in its entirety. Let it fill you up to new ways of discovery. They are all but messages back to who we truly are. Underneath those layers and patterns is the Truth of Self. There is a Wildness that needs no name, nor a reason to tame. Only trust.

“To take the world into one’s arms and act towards it in a soul-filled and soul-strengthening manner is a powerful act of wildish spirit.”
(Clarissa Pinkola Estés)

May your Spirit remain Wild.

In love and light,
Lisa
