“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
What I love about the summer is the light and how nature is so alive. One thing that has come from pushing myself with some of the treks I have done on some of my travels is being able to appreciate the diversity of nature and the beauty of the world. We live on such a beautiful planet with some incredible landscapes. There have been times I have been in such awe of the beauty it has brought tears to my eyes. I have been incredibly blessed with some of the sights I have seen whilst I was on some of my tougher treks and seen things that I never thought I would in this lifetime. It got me thinking that life is too short to be thinking about doing something and sometimes you have to just do it. There will always be something that will get in the way but when you remain true to your dreams then miracles do happen.
Trekking and my new love for walking as a result of it has showed me what is possible when you keep taking the steps you need to take (this was literal at times) and how over time it can build into something so awesome. It builds your resolve and you find strength you didn’t know you had to keep going. When hills get steep, it’s a metaphor for life and at some point you will get over that hill and celebrate yourself and what you have achieved. As well as creative goals, there is something powerful that comes from having physical goals to work towards too. They work well together. Plus, it honours the body you are living in and the living breathing miracle that you are. It brings you back to love and love consciousness.
