“Build your dreams in the every day living of life.”
This weekend brings us the energy of the New Moon in Virgo which is the perfect time to track your goals and create new healthy habits. If you find yourself suddenly wanting to change something in your life whether it is eating healthier or becoming more organised then it makes sense with the energy of this particular moon cycle. Although change is not always easy, it is an opportunity to reflect and look to new ways with new eyes. Every day we get to wake up and live another day is such a privilege denied to so many. It’s something to think about and makes you realise not to waste your days away because life is so precious. To be here is such a miracle in itself and every day we have that amazing chance to create positive waves whether it is in our own lives or the lives of others. Every day we get to put our stamp on the world and become more of ourselves.
I personally love a new cycle and will use this opportunity to nurture myself and my creativity in readiness for the autumn and winter seasons. It is a time to be ‘Earthed’ and finding our feet firmly on the ground ensuring we take good care of ourselves. It’s something that continues to challenge me due to commitments with work and family but nevertheless I am grateful for all experiences because they teach me where I need to pay more attention to in my life. I am getting in the Virgo energy with my lists and organising various aspects. I can’t help but love a good list and plans to review my goal setting. It certainly keeps me on track and focused on what I love to do but also remembering to live each day. No matter what your goals are, they are already in existence every day that you wake up. It is alive within you as long as you are alive. Keep to the sun and let your soul be free.
“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” (Oscar Wilde)
I saw this quote a few years back right at the height of my healing journey when I was turning things around with my health and more. Although I believe in love and marriage, what I have learnt is the most important relationship you have is the one you have with yourself. You will always be with you and you will always have you. Now this a very long time to be with someone. Do you ever think about how you treat yourself or how you approach yourself? Is it with kindness or contempt? It’s something to really think about and gives plenty of food for thought. If we could see ourselves from a different perspective would we change our approach to ourselves. Kindness certainly has to start from within which radiates outwards onto others and the world around us. You can only give what you already have and it’s remembering this. No matter what the question is in your life, love is always the answer. Even more so, self-love is more important than ever in a world that sometimes makes no sense at times. This goes hand in hand with building a good relationship with ourselves – our true selves.
“One must maintain a little bit of summer, even in the middle of winter.” (Henry David Thoreau)
In the act of slowing down for late summer, I am very much in preparation mode and writing this serves as a reminder that during the darker days there is always light even if only a little. I very much struggle in the winter when we have darker and shorter days, and probably a lot of people can relate to this, but rather than pre-empting how I’m going to be or how I may feel it’s much better focusing on the now. It is staying in the now that will ultimately serve us. It it what will help us grow and keep to the sun as we move through the seasons one by one and go right back to the beginning.
It has been a year since I started a course called Naturopathic Nutrition and I am grateful for the healing it has brought me. After many years of personal development it never ceases to amaze me what else is out there that will serve my soul evolution. I felt like this course was a step up in weaving the other pieces together and being able to take charge of my health again. Sometimes when things happen in life or we get ill, it can seem hopeless. When the medical profession says there is no cure that is not the end. In fact, no matter what happens there is always something you can do to help yourself even if it’s changing your mindset to start off with to see what is possible and what you can change. There will always be factors out of our control in life but that doesn’t take away who you are or your sense of spirit. It can make all the difference in the world and your healing matters. It is the best gift you can give to Life.
I love what I am doing now and what I am learning. It makes me feel like every day is summer. As always it comes back to food with me and it brings me such joy. I have loved food all my life and this for certain will not change. I love and appreciate food more than ever before because of my experiences. Here is short caption of why food means so much to me today on one of my blog pages – Naturopathic Nutrition.
Have a great delicious week!
