“Build your dreams in the every day living of life.”
This weekend brings us the energy of the New Moon in Virgo which is the perfect time to track your goals and create new healthy habits. If you find yourself suddenly wanting to change something in your life whether it is eating healthier or becoming more organised then it makes sense with the energy of this particular moon cycle. Although change is not always easy, it is an opportunity to reflect and look to new ways with new eyes. Every day we get to wake up and live another day is such a privilege denied to so many. It’s something to think about and makes you realise not to waste your days away because life is so precious. To be here is such a miracle in itself and every day we have that amazing chance to create positive waves whether it is in our own lives or the lives of others. Every day we get to put our stamp on the world and become more of ourselves.
I personally love a new cycle and will use this opportunity to nurture myself and my creativity in readiness for the autumn and winter seasons. It is a time to be ‘Earthed’ and finding our feet firmly on the ground ensuring we take good care of ourselves. It’s something that continues to challenge me due to commitments with work and family but nevertheless I am grateful for all experiences because they teach me where I need to pay more attention to in my life. I am getting in the Virgo energy with my lists and organising various aspects. I can’t help but love a good list and plans to review my goal setting. It certainly keeps me on track and focused on what I love to do but also remembering to live each day. No matter what your goals are, they are already in existence every day that you wake up. It is alive within you as long as you are alive. Keep to the sun and let your soul be free.
Following on from last week, I am focused on my projects in this moment and it’s been a great place to be. It has been good to focus on what I love in between the madness and busyness that comes from daily life. Daily life can even take over at times but I think if you really want something you will always find time for it no matter what it takes.
This week has brought us the energy of the Full Moon in Capricorn. Full moons have historically been quite unsettling for me and usually my emotions can feel quite out of balance but this week has been dare I say relatively calm compared to other full moons. That’s not to say stuff doesn’t come up but I believe when we have clear goals in mind then somehow doorways open up and pave way for opportunities. It’s about remembering to look at what is in front of us and working with what we have. During full moons and most days I always try to look for something to be grateful for. As they say, what you appreciate appreciates and this is so true.
Since we have reached more than the halfway mark for the year it is a super time to think about what we would like to achieve for the rest of the year and build our mindset around it in a fulfilling way. Here are some affirmations to get you started:
I am the author of my life.
I have the capacity to take committed action towards the life of my dreams.
I am filled with empowered thoughts to create my best reality.
This year is the best year of my life.
Today, I follow my bliss in every way.
Let your life sparkle with all colours of the rainbow.
After the initial excitement and the energy of the last New Moon, it got me thinking about goals and setting out to achieve them. What is it that sustains us and drives us? It’s easy to keep motivated when everything is new and you ride that wave of inspiration at the beginning but then what happens next. Speaking from experience sometimes this wave of inspiration can wear off. It is the nature of life with its ebbs and flows. I always find it helpful to go back to the beginning when this happens. They say go back to the drawing board… but I like to go back to the ‘inspiration board’ so to speak. This could be a vision board I created or goals or intentions I have physically written down before I set out to do something. It could even be the images I kept in my mind of the end goal and the dream that lives in my heart. Whatever it is, it’s about remembering why I want to do something and coming from that place. When we create from a place of purpose this is an absolute game changer. When we remember the ‘why’ I believe this is what sustains us. When we stay with that ‘why’ even the mundane can seem magical. At times when you feel like giving up, the part of your soul which remembers your purpose will push you forward and get you out of bed to cease another day. When you know your purpose for doing something, every step you take is part of the destination. It is part of who you are.
