Troubled waters to touch, Essence of likeness, A mirror to truth grows in the heart of courage.
There is so much movement with the turning of tides that brought us the Year of 2020. The number 2020 always makes me think of eye examinations and having perfect vision or at least striving for perfect vision. I anticipated a visionary year with a new decade and new possibilities for living. Somehow things have been swept away by the tides and there is so much uncertainty in the air. Collectively this is the most trying of times in the history of our modern world as we know it. Systems are breaking down, people are breaking down and life as we know it seems gone forever. It feels like a never ending spiral sometimes and not knowing where to turn or what to say or even what to do for the best.
However, whenever there is a breakdown there is also a breakthrough and the bigger the breakdowns, the bigger the breakthroughs. This is the natural cycle of life itself and it can offer us so much if we can tune into the wisdom and find the courage to continue on this turbulent journey. I don’t know what lies ahead and I can’t say I have all the answers. I only have myself and a heart full of courage which wants to keep walking no matter what life wants to throw at me. I think sometimes in life we can feel like we have to have all the answers and to know what comes next but life doesn’t always work out that way as we have seen recently.
“Create the highest grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe.” (Oprah Winfrey)
When we go the opticians for our eye examinations, the aim is for that perfect vision. To reach the perfection that is 2020. If we can’t see 2020 clearly, then we may need aids in the forms of contact lenses or glasses. We may need to make several adjustments until we can see where we are walking towards and get it right. To see is a gift but vision goes deeper than what the eyes can see. Having vision is seeing clearly with your heart. It is the lens of truth. It beats and pumps blood around your body. It keeps you alive. It keeps you well. It keeps you into the reality of what you can create which is bigger than our current circumstances. I always have to remember that and not allow current circumstances to dictate my future. Your vision can be what you want it to be. Your life can be what you want it to be and there are plenty of tools out there that can help with this. This will be different for everybody and as they say, variety is the spice of life. The most important thing is to never stop or give up. Always have hope for your beautiful beating heart. You are alive and by being who you are, you gift the world with the sheer presence of You.
Love is the foundation from which everything else is built.
Hi beautiful readers,
Last week’s energy with the Summer Solstice was particularly powerful. I can still feel it in the air this week as we enter this new season and changes are afloat in so many ways for all of us. We are also in the waning phase of the moon cycle which is a period of releasing and letting go of anything that no longer serves us. The two energies seem to be working in sync with each other to bring us what we need in our lives if we are open to it. In the time I took off from blogging, I have been tracking the moon cycle a lot more and how it can affect us, sometimes on such a subtle level, and unless we take the time to be still these subtle layers may go unnoticed.
During the Summer Solstice weekend I decided to go away on a retreat in Glastonbury set up by The School of Naturopathy Wales. It was such a magical weekend with amazing people and the journey we all shared together. Plus the plant based food that was served was out of this world and on a new level of deliciousness. I could easily stay vegan if I was served that food every day. Food has been and will remain one of my greatest loves in life. I made a commitment last year to begin my course to study Naturopathic Nutrition. It was the next step in my development and learning and it has been the greatest of years in terms of what I have got out of it for my own health and also the most challenging because of the healing that needed to occur for me to reach the stage during the Summer Solstice where I felt worthy within myself again and could stand proud of the woman I have become, knowing that I have so much more to give. The desire lives stronger than ever for me to fulfill my mission in this lifetime to help others with their health and wellbeing with the training I received and the life experiences I have been through.
I believe that no matter what it is we want or desire in life, we have to come from our heart space and resonate and align with the frequency of love. Love is the key and the foundation to everything else. Love can move mountains and unless we can feel that inside of ourselves, we can’t go out into the world and help others. The energy of love is the most powerful of all. Sometimes it takes going on a retreat, moving out of our comfort zone and taking some reflection time to come back to ourselves and this is where it starts. Love is the oxygen and elixir to enliven our spirits and when we are recharged and filled with loving goodness, it is then we can move out into the wider world to be who we are and do what we were born to do. I am still reflecting on my weekend away and moving through many shifts but I know from previous experiences that this is always for my Highest Good. I am happy to be here and sharing with you all again.
P.S. Here are the links to my pages if you would like to read more about my journey with my health:
“Before you lies the journey we all must travel. A journey whose length is not as important as the footprints we leave behind for others to follow. A journey that has many paths, and the one that you choose will decide the course your life will take. You can opt for the easy and well-trodden road, or you can venture down one rarely travelled road. Either way, you have the ability to make an impact upon this world, so long as you follow the leanings of your own heart rather than the desires of others. And whichever road you choose to walk, let it show a good and noble person passed this way. One who never sacrificed convictions for a place in the sun or the easy gain, but who kept to the true and right path. And let it also show that you did not count your wealth in riches, but in how many walk this earth with humanity in their hearts, because the footprints you made in this life showed you walked the footsteps of love.” (Daniel Haughlan)
I love these words and the meaning behind them. It is true that there are many paths to take and so many opportunities in life which are sometimes disguised as endings or difficulties. They are but a mere window into the soul of who we are. They show us the way to a life that really matters, one that honours our very core and a freedom to live by choice. Who we decide to be no matter what circumstances we find ourselves is in fact the choice. I believe we can make a difference with what we have and with where we are. You always have the Power within.
The most important thing I learnt from going down the road less travelled is to always make sure I take myself with me. Wherever you go or end up be sure to let yourself in and take yourself on your own adventure. I used to be afraid of losing myself along the way after I fought so hard to discover who I really am. This is still an ongoing process and one that I’m sure will always continue. The more I live this life, the more I can see and feel in newfound ways. The more I am able to let the light shine and to let others see it too.
When you live from that real place within your heart, life flows. Sure there will be resistance along the way but what you’ll find brings far better reward than what you think you lost. With every loss is a gain if you remain open to your truth. You will meet the greatest love of your life… and that love is YOU.
