Treasures of Hope…

“When we possess the treasure of hope,
it gives rise to other treasures, too.
Hope draws forth our inner potential and
strength. Hope is a magic weapon that enables
us to make our dreams come true.”
(Daisaku Ikeda)

I am celebrating a very special anniversary today. It was six years ago today that I received my Gohonzon, a scroll in Nichiren Buddhism to which you chant the very powerful mantra Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. This was a very significant event which was the catalyst in helping me to realise my own inner potential and life-force. At the time I received the Gohonzon, I was in such a different space to what I am today. I have done things and overcome so much that would have been unimaginable to me six years ago. I have travelled to places and beyond which has forever changed me. I have met amazing souls who I am proud to call family. I have lost and gained. I have failed and succeeded. I have feared… and loved even more as a result.

There is so much to life and it started from that day I received my Gohonzon. It was the day I made a commitment to myself and to take responsibility to change my life. I had no idea it would change as much as it has and I have such a deep gratitude for what life has given me. It’s more than anything money can buy (although that is always nice of course). It is those treasures we have inside of ourselves, that is the real gold. It is what truly matters and what we have to give.

Emptied clean, I have the opportunity to live in a new way… a way that is more authentic, loving and worthy in every way. There is hope on the horizon. Sure there will always be ups and downs but nothing can ever take away what is real. Every day we are all alive is a gift and as long as we have hope, we have everything.

“Everything is born from hope.”
(Daisaku Ikeda)

Sharing the Light

Hi all,

This is my first post of 2016 and I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year.  I am excited to be here. There’s nothing I love more than the freshness of a new year that is filled with so much hope and promise. This year feels much lighter than the last and will be a time for many I’m sure where previous efforts will pay off. I smile at the thought of dreams coming alive for all people.

There is no greater joy than seeing another person blossom before your very eyes and I have been lucky to witness this with the people in my life. I have seen miracles and experienced miracles myself. I believe anything is possible especially if we work together towards a better world and future.

“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle,
and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
(Buddha)

A life shared is a life worth living. When we reach out our hands to help another we can’t help but light up our own path. It is the way. We create a ripple effect of kindness and happiness that lasts generations. No matter how big or small they may be, it never goes unnoticed by the Universe. It all counts and I am so glad to be part of this in an ever changing world. I hope you are too.

Sending you blessings for the year ahead.

The Shift…

person-731142_640

Wow, there is very powerful energy in the air. Can you feel it? Since September has arrived something feels different. Not only is the season changing but there is a huge Universal shift that is causing many to rise to the next level. Not all of it is comfortable or even makes sense but beneath the details of our lives I believe the soul is always working towards our Highest Good. Then it’s about learning to let go so we can bring our desires into manifestation.

One cannot know the light without knowing the darkness…

This shift is bringing many endings and a deep need for reflection in my life. I cherish these moments where I can just be and tune into what my soul wants me to know. In the silence there is healing and hope. There is always hope and this has got me through some trying times in my life, most of which I didn’t expect but am grateful for to this day. Without them I wouldn’t be writing to you or be the person that I have become.

What is really helping me right now is to look back in kindness and compassion to the person I used to be and what I have achieved in the overcoming of those trying times. It is not until you have lived through them that you realise how strong you had to be. Just the realisation of that is a strength in itself and to be honoured. So wherever you are in the world and in your journey, please take care of your heart and treasure the person that you are today. You are perfect just as you are.

In love and light,
Lisa
